Tahiti Nui Mai Tai
The Tahiti Nui Mai Tai recipe is a closely guarded secret. It is patterned after the original Mai Tai recipe, birthed by “Trader Vic” Bergeron’s recipe in 1944, but contains additional fruit juices.
Start with fresh lime juice, Koloa Gold rum, Tahitian vanilla-infused simple syrup, fresh-pressed sugar cane juice, orgeat-almond syrup, and orange Curacao, and finish with a float of Koloa Dark rum. This Mai Tai recipe adds fresh pineapple juice and a splash of guava juice for additional island flair.
